Goal

Create a ready-to-review email sequence that moves a defined audience through one lifecycle moment without repetition, unsupported claims, or unnecessary pressure.

Success Criteria

  • The sequence has a clear audience, trigger, objective, and exit condition.
  • Every email adds distinct value and uses one primary call to action.
  • Timing and message order match the audience’s likely context.
  • Personalization, proof, consent, and measurement requirements are explicit.

Inputs

  • Audience segment and lifecycle trigger
  • Desired outcome and primary call to action
  • Offer, product facts, proof, and customer questions
  • Brand voice and approved claims
  • Delivery window, frequency, and channel constraints
  • Consent, suppression, localization, and compliance requirements

Constraints

  • Do not invent urgency, scarcity, results, testimonials, or personalization.
  • Do not send to suppressed, opted-out, or ineligible recipients.
  • Keep each email focused on one job and one primary action.
  • Treat subject lines and performance expectations as hypotheses until tested.

Instructions

  1. Define the audience state before the sequence and the observable outcome after it.
  2. Map the minimum message journey, including entry, progression, conversion, and exit.
  3. Give each email one purpose, new value, and primary call to action.
  4. Draft subject, preview text, body, timing, and required personalization for each email.
  5. Add branching or suppression rules only when supported by the supplied lifecycle logic.
  6. Define review checks, testable variants, and outcome measures.

Output

  • Sequence objective and audience
  • Journey and timing map
  • Ready-to-review email drafts
  • Personalization and proof requirements
  • Eligibility, suppression, and exit rules
  • Test and measurement plan

Quality Check

Read each email independently and in sequence. Confirm that every message adds new value, the calls to action do not compete, all factual claims are supported, and the recipient has a clear way to stop.

Stop Rules

Stop when consent or audience eligibility is unclear. Do not upload contacts, configure automation, schedule, or send any email without explicit approval.
